Albin Preißler's Advent wreathg sets are known not only throughout Germany but in many countries around the world.
Traditionally in the typical red "Advent color", green, white or natural, decorated with different miniatures and motifs, they decorate the festive table during the Christmas season.
Advent is a special time in the church year. The Advent candlestick with its candles symbolizes the time of waiting for Christmas, the arrival of the light that represents Jesus Christ.
Each candle in the Advent candlestick represents an Advent Sunday. That's why, according to an old custom, one candle is lit in the run-up to Christmas from the 1st to the 4th Sunday of Advent.

Four candles in Advent by Horst Rehmann

The first candle burns for silence, for peace and coziness, for warmth and for the will to live in comfort.
The second candle burns for hope, for strength and for faith, for reason and for respect, and for the white doves of peace.
The third candle burns for decency, for respect and also for goodness, for justice and for understanding, and for one's own mind.
The fourth candle burns for love, for the most important thing in this world, there would be nothing left to us if it weren't for her, placed at number one.
