Debreziner is a mild, smoked pork sausage seasoned with paprika, however it is not spicy. It comes fully cooked in a natural casing and makes a great snack to pack along on trips.

Debreziner comes fully cooked and ready to eat, hot or cold. They make great appetizers when cubed and paired with chunks of cheese. We also find them delicious served hot, either grilled, pan fried, or heated in water. Serve with spicy mustard and potato salad for lunch, or round out a traditional German dinner with sauerkraut and fried potatoes.
Will keep without freezing; it will only air dry in refrigerator, and will remain fresh up to 3 weeks. Sausages need air circulation, and keep best when wrapped in paper towel once opened. Otherwise, leave unopened in vacuum-sealed packaging. Should vacuum packaging become loose—indicating an air leak—remove immediately and wrap in paper towel.
Can also be frozen for up to 2 months without affecting flavor or quality. Defrost slowly in refrigerator; do not thaw at room temperature.
