Die kleine Raupe Nimmersatt
Description
Even tiny caterpillars can have big appetites. That's why the Very Hungry Caterpillar sets off in search of food—and finds plenty. From Monday to Sunday, she eats her way through a mountain of treats, page by page, until she's finally full. Now it's time to build a cocoon, and after two weeks of waiting, a beautiful butterfly emerges. The youngest children play with The Very Hungry Caterpillar and are fascinated by the die-cut caterpillar chewing holes. Slightly older children discover the days of the week, fruits, numbers, and the metamorphosis in nature with her. And everyone loves her secret message of hope, which her creator, Eric Carle, describes as follows: "I can grow up too. I can spread my wings (my talents) and fly out into the world." The Very Hungry Caterpillar captivates readers not least with its colorful, collage-like illustrations and its unique design, featuring pages that are sometimes shortened and die-cut holes. For decades, it has been a classic of children's literature and, with over 60 million copies sold, one of the best-selling picture books in the world.
